The City of Daqing
Location
The city of Daqing is located in the middle of the Songnen plain, North East China. Unlike many other cities of China, Daqing boasts clean air, low humidity and nature at its best.
Daqing Oil Fields
Daqing is an emerging city, famous for its petroleum and petrochemicals. The city boomed because of the oil reserves found here and has become the biggest oil production base in China. The oil pumping units and tall drilling rigs throughout the city make for a beautiful and unique landscape.
Cuisine
Daqing is known for its hearty dishes, barbecue, hot pot, iron pot, and famous noodles. The city also caters to its foreign residents with a delicious Russian influence as well as Western takeouts such as Burger King, KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, and StarBucks.
Daqing Summers
The Summer Season is the perfect time to get out of the house and explore what the city has to offer. Daqing boasts more temperate weather with moderate heat and less humidity than other cities in China.
Daqing Winters
Daqing turns into a Wonderland over the winter period. We have beautiful snowy days which turn the city white, but don`t worry as everything from taxis to your apartment will be heated.
Snow Activities
During winter is the time to get out your skates and enjoy what Daqing has to offer. You can enjoy numerous activities such as skiing and snowboarding as well as a visit to our famous natural hot springs.
Daqing Culture and Attractions
There are many different cultural attractions to be seen around the city such as the famous TV tower, the legendary Iron Man Memorial and the LongFeng wetlands. Nearby we have the Qiqihaer Red-headed crane park and the world-famous Harbin Ice Festival.

Training School Courses
Our Training School Campuses offer a wide variety of books and courses to children of all ages. These courses range in difficulty from Bebop for our youngest students to Discover for advanced students. Watch your students grow and advance through each course and grow with them as they improve each day.
One on one
Not comfortable teaching large classes? Fear not! Smile offers one on one classes for all ages for those students who require more personal attention.
English Corner
Finding yourself with a lot of free time during the day? Not a problem. Join our English Corner Team. We provide the public with English Corners and Public events such as English competitions and Starbucks visits.
Working at Smile Education has been such a cool experience. Not only does the school push for excellence, we also have a great working environment that supports new teachers like myself to be better. It's definitely the place to be!

FAQ
The Answers You Need
What do I need?
To work at Smile, a degree is required. This helps with visa purposes. All teachers are also required to have a police clearance certificate. The company will help with your work visa.
Do I need teaching experience?
Experience is not required. All teachers will receive extensive training on arrival and will start teaching when they are ready.
Do I need to know Chinese?
No, Chinese is not required to teach in China. There are many helpful translation apps as well as Chinese lessons which are available for any teacher wishing to expand their use of Chinese in their day to day life.

Smile 3 Year Anniversary Show
Our 3 Year Anniversary Show was a great success with lots of activities and performances by our staff and students. We hope that you can join us for our next celebration.
Snow Village
Build memories with your fellow colleagues during events such as our Snow Village Outing where many of our teachers experienced skiing, snowboarding, and tubing for the first time!
Halloween Classes
Each year, Smile celebrates festivities such as Halloween. Students can enjoy our specially designed Halloween classes, where both teachers and students enjoy dressing for the occasion!
Christmas Classes
Christmas class is just as fun where we share our Christmas spirit with the students as well as the parents. We have an activity class where the students can make a gift to share with someone special.
CS Team Building
We hold fun Team Building activities with our staff each semester. Here we had a great game of laser tag to get the blood flowing and keep the mind active.
New Teacher Training
When a new teacher arrives they are given training from our top Directors and Research Team to make sure they feel ready and comfortable before heading into the classroom.
Smile Summer Camp
During the Summer Holidays, Smile boasts its own unique and diverse summer camps where students can learn about Science, Reading, Art, Drama and Sports.
